DECEMBER EXHIBIT: SILVER BELLS EXHIBIT DATES: November 24– December 29, 2024 RECEPTION/HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE: DECEMBER 7, 2024, 10am to 7pm: Join in to meet the artists and cheer the season and the show, while enjoying holiday goodies. Saturday evening the Gallery will also take part in “Sip and Shop,” a ticketed event sponsored by the Healdsburg Chamber of Commerce, healdsburg.com., featuring local wineries. Sonoma County artists, Beverly Bird, Willow LaLand, Phyllis Rapp, Donna Schaffer,Tosya Shore, Luba Stolper, Ron Sumner, and Jo Tobin-Charleston present Silver Bells, an eclectic mix of works that ring out a warm welcome to the 2024 holiday season. Ever seasonal favorites, reds and greens take starring roles in several of the paintings. In Stolper’s stunning “Red Cloth” color is highlighted – the sumptuous cloth and delectable red cherries stand out against the gradated greens in this traditional oil still life. Shore’s watercolor, “Why Can’t We Be Friends,” takes the reds in a fanciful direction, celebrating friendship. In Schaffer’s oil painting, the red “Spice Flower” dances on a bed of jewel-like greens. Iconic Sonoma landscapes are featured in LaLand’s “River Bend” and Bird’s “Rocky Cliffs at Sea Ranch.” Sumner and Rapp bring us lovely watercolors of birds of the season, “Northern Cardinal” and “Fanciful Dove” respectively. Tobin-Charleston’s Winter Splendor, lovely quartz and crystal jewelry, sparkle and harken to the silver of our theme.
