RECEPTION: Saturday, Jyly 6 2024; 2-5 pm: Join artists Luba Stolper and Gail Morgan to celebrate the show and mark the Gallery’s anniversary: 27 years of artistic heritage and community presence, the longest established gallery in Healdsburg. Sonoma County artist, Luba Stolper, presents Timeless, a collection of classic still-life masterpieces in oil. Whether fruit, fish or flower, subject matter glows in dramatic realism created by the artist’s masterful lighting and traditional painting techniques. Layer upon layer of paint create depth and resonance. In White Roses petals unfold to reveal a myriad of subtle and intricate colorations. Color gradations and painstaking brush technique in Three Persimmons creates a peell so real, one could caress its smooth surface. And the strawberries dappled texture in Just Strawberries makes them ready for the perfect dessert. Stolper remarked,”I am so passionate about my painting, it is a pleasure to share this classic vision with the world.” Stolper was born and raised in a small village in Ukraine, enjoying drawing as a child. She followed her passion for art by studying at the Fabric and Textile Design School in Berkeley and pursued further studies with Charles Becker and masters Naomi Marino and Jay Blums. An award winning artist, she garnered the Best of Still-Life award at the IGOR competition and an Honorable Mention at the ARC. Stolper has exhibited regionally and nationally and was juried into the highly competitive Triannual De Young Exhibit for artists in the region.
